Our firewood is heated to more than 165 degrees in a kiln oven in order to lower the wood’s internal moisture content. This provides hotter, cleaner, and more consistent burning firewood. Kiln-dried firewood also enables you start your fires more easily, requiring less need for kindling or other fire-starting materials like newspaper or combustible fluids. Statistics show that most fire starting accidents occur as a result of using excessive amounts of combustible fluids like lighter fluid or kerosene.
